Brand and Logo are sometimes lumped together to mean the same thing. That isn't entirely wrong, but there is an important distinction that's worth making between the two.

Your logo is a visual representation that represents your company, but it's only a small part of your brand. Your brand is best described as what people think about your company, the overall "gut" feeling they get about your business and how you offer your services. It can consist of many things:

  • Logo
  • Services offered
  • Customer reviews
  • Pricing
  • Customer service
  • And many other things

Your brand helps you position your place in the overall market you're in. For example, your logo coupled with your overall brand might help you communicate to customers that your business is a premium landscape design company, or maybe it communicates that you're a value based lawn care company. Think McDonalds vs Chili's.
