A Holiday Wishlist fit for a Marketer |
A list curated for exceptional Marketers, by a Marketer who is married to an exceptional Marketer who loves to shop. Without further ado, here is my personal Marketer holiday wishlist, and I hope you can find inspo when making your own holiday wishlist! |
Starting this wishlist off HOT. This is one of the most direct, value-driven, and tactical insights Marketing books out there. A/B testing, writing compelling copy, or understanding consumer psychology, Drew lays it ALL out in this book.
In alignment with the directness of the book, I’m going to keep it short and sweet: add this to your holiday wish list. |
2) Flag for your front lawn |
I don’t know about you, but if I don’t get this flag for the holidays then I’m going to go out of my way to buy it for myself. This flag perfectly encapsulates the whole process of getting into Marketing.
Is Marketing easy? Psh NO. (But did we think it would be easy when we first started out? Maybeee.) I know I need something to hang off the side of my balcony, and I wouldn’t want it to be anything other than this. |
3) Portable, single-serve Keurig |
Have you ever met a Marketer who doesn’t drink coffee? Personally I haven’t. (If you’re a Marketer who doesn’t drink coffee plz reply to this email.) So what better gift than this extremely cute and portable Keurig fit for all 6 of your coffees you down in a day. |
You’re a Marketing Bestie, so you know that I absolutely adore Ann Handley. I’m lucky enough to call her a friend and even more lucky to have read this completely revised AND expanded take on her legendary book, Everybody Writes.
It’s 2023 (not for long), social media is a NON-NEGOTIABLE, and this will be even more true in 2024. Content is King AND Queen. Everybody Writes is a deep dive into how you can create content so good your competitors will be coming to you asking for advice.
Whether you’re writing emails, blog posts, or a building your personal brand on Linkedin, Everybody Writes is a must-read if you want to keep up in 2024. |
There’s one thing that all Marketers are short on (no not budget), SLEEP. At some points us Marketers seemingly are always on the clock, but the holiday’s are our time to recoup. You need some sleep, I need some sleep. So treat yourself and add a sleep mask to your holiday wish list IMMEDIATELY. |
Rory Sutherland is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE podcast guests. 2024 is all about thinking differently and being creative. "Alchemy" teaches that the best ideas aren't always what the data says. People can be unpredictable. This book will show you how to make marketing magic. |
