| In partnership with Hey Marketing Bestie, Monday, 9:12am. Your CEO pings you: "Which channel drove last month's pipeline?" Easy question. You open Google Ads. 4 tabs. 4 versions of the truth. AND none of them agree. By 11:41 you've got a spreadsheet, a headache, and an answer you'd describe as "directionally correct." So you paste it all into ChatGPT to make sense of it. It gives you a very confident paragraph. Next Monday you do the whole thing again from scratch, because it remembers nothing. Congrats. You've become the human API. We were promised robot employeesY'all remember when digital Marketing was going to give us perfect data and perfect attribution? Me too. Instead, we got walled gardens that charge us rent. Then AI showed up with a NEW promise. It would handle the busy work so you could get back to the strategic, creative stuff that made you want to be a Marketer in the first place. Got my attention! But for too many Marketers, the dream hasn’t materialized. Instead, you're writing 400-word prompts. Meanwhile everyone's still panicking that AI is coming for their job. My optimistic hot take: I think AI makes good Marketers MORE important. Your judgment and your instincts are still the moat. But you only get to USE your judgement & instincts if your tools stop drowning you in busy work. So……are they? Let’s find out. “10-minute” self-diagnostic testBefore I tell you about DOJO AI (spoiler), let's check whether you even have this problem. Grab a coffee, start a timer, and try this: 1️⃣. Open your 3 most-used dashboards. ^ If these 3 took you longer than 10 minutes, check your symptoms: Do you… 🌀 Spend more time reporting on channels than acting on them? If you checked 2 or more, keep reading. If you nodded at all 6? Pour something stronger than coffee, and then keep reading. Why your stack still feels dumb (even with AI in it)2 words show up in almost every AI pitch you'll hear this year: context and loops. Almost none of them bother to define either. CONTEXT is a living thing. When I talked with Duarte Garrido, co-founder and co-CEO of DOJO AI, he didn't sugarcoat it: "Context is not uploading sh*t into the cloud. Pardon my French. That is information." Information = Uploading your brand docs to AI. Your brand deck from 2024 doesn't know any of that. LOOPS replace “the frozen campaign.”Campaign formats are stuck. 3 channels, a budget, an audience, 4 creatives. You launch it, it runs, you recap, and repeat…whether the template is working or not. A loop flips that. You give a team of agents a goal. They figure out the best way to achieve it, act on it, check the results, adjust accordingly, and keep going until the goal is hit. Every result feeds back into what they know. Automation runs the same play on repeat. Intelligence notices when the play stops working. Duarte walked me through a Google Ads example that made it click for me. If you build a campaign by yourself, you're working from your memory of the brand and the market. If you let Google optimize it, it tests against Google data and nothing else. But if you build it in DOJO, it looks at your Google Ads history (visuals, copy, audiences, targeting). Then it also looks at what's working on Meta and LinkedIn, which pages on your site get traffic and where people drop off, what competitors have launched, which trends are hitting your industry, AND what people are saying in forums and communities. As Duarte put it: "Google Ads audiences are unidimensional… people live in many places." (Note to self: work “unidimensional” into a conversation this week.) When he explained this, it hit me: THIS is what “omnichannel” was supposed to mean. Before the difficulties of turning measurement into intelligence reduced it into a buzzword. Built by a Marketer AND an AI personMost "AI for Marketing" tools come from technical teams who bolt Marketing use cases onto a generic AI product. That's why they give you generic advice. DOJO AI started from both sides at once. Duarte brings serious brand and Marketing experience. His co-founder, Antonio Alegria, brings the AI and data side. That's why DOJO is built around an always-updated memory of your specific brand, instead of a chatbot sitting on top of your dashboards. I trust tools built by people who've actually sat in the Marketing chair. You probably do too. Until recently, this kind of setup was only available to Fortune 100 companies with Fortune 100 budgets. If you're running a lean team against bigger competitors, DOJO gives you the capabilities of an enterprise giant for a fraction of the cost. DOJO ran it on DOJO firstThe DOJO team runs their own Marketing through DOJO: paid ads, LinkedIn content, and SEO. A few things it found:
And for a customer: Morningstar cut CPA by 79% and tripled conversion volume on a paid search channel. It also gets smarter the longer it runs. Every action the agents take is a prediction, and every outcome refines the graph, instead of forgetting your context at the end of every session. The manual loop to fix it this week:Here are steps to take. They work no matter what your tech stack looks like. 1️⃣. Map where your truth lives: List every tool you use. Circle the 1 that actually holds revenue data. Draw a line from each tool to THAT circle, and mark which lines you’re copy-pasting. ⚡ Bonus exercise: Count how many times you move numbers between tools in a week. That's your human API tax. 2️⃣. Start writing down what you learn: Loops work because every result feeds the next decision. You can start that habit manually today. ⚡ Bonus exercise: After every campaign, record what worked, what didn't, and what you'd change. It’ll be tempting to skip. Don’t. In 3 months, you'll have more context than any brand deck. 3️⃣. Make your goals smarter: instead of "launch the Q4 campaign," make the outcome your goal, like "20 demos from mid-market SaaS in 30 days." ⚡ Bonus exercise: Set a weekly check-in to adjust spend and creative based on what's working, instead of waiting for the recap at the end. 4️⃣. Bring outside signals in: your dashboards show what happened INSIDE your channels. Your buyers live everywhere else. ⚡ Bonus exercise: Block 15 minutes every Monday. Check competitor ad libraries, scan Reddit and other communities in your category, and pull the top questions from last week's sales calls. Use them in your next brief. 5️⃣. Check for brand drift: Every AI draft pulls a little further from how you’re supposed to sound. 1 piece might not be a big deal. But a month of them will send you totally off-course. ⚡Bonus exercise: Audit 5 AI-assisted pieces from the last month and compare them to your best human-written piece. If you can spot the difference, so can your customers. 6️⃣. Or…hand the loop to a system built for it: Steps 1 through 5 work. They're also a lot of manual effort for a lean team. ⚡ DOJO AI connects the channels you already have (ads platforms, GA4, your CRM, Shopify) and acts on what it finds. Its agents reallocate budget, flag what's underperforming, and draft your next piece of creative before you have to ask. And every result makes it sharper. Try it on your own channels:Your homework for this week: Pick your 3 most-used dashboards (yep, the 1s from that 10-min diagnostic earlier). Then, get on a call and see what that data SHOULD be doing for you. DOJO will show you how to turn it into a living intelligence system, that updates and executes your work, pulling together every signal inside and outside your brand, getting smarter over time. And they’ll show you what it looks like on YOUR data, personally. 👉 Book a DOJO AI custom walkthrough. Worst case, you leave knowing which channel is really driving your deals, and where your budget is evaporating with nothing to show for it. Go find out what you’ve been missing.
