READ TIME: 2 MINUTES. Funnel hack your own storefronts and tell me where you'd actually buy if you were your own customer. Bonjour Millionaire,

I tried to order a pair of jeans from Net-a-Porter. Carly recommended so you know they're good. But I didn't clear the free shipping threshold by $10. So then I went to Shopbop. They didn't have the wash I wanted. Shopbop also doesn't feel cool to me but I was willing to get over it.

Then I went to the brand's own website. I was scared returns would be harder than on Net-a-Porter and buying jeans online is wild. So then I just decided to order 2 pairs from Net-a-Porter in 2 different washes and the fine print says that so long as I return within 14-days there is no restocking fee. I cleared the free shipping threshold that Net-a-Porter thought they trapped me with but not really, because again I can return and then they pay shipping both ways? Who wins? ME!

I don't bring this up to explain that I know how to shop. You already know that. I bring it up because I run DTC and Marketplace for the brand I work for and I chose Marketplace here because I trusted it wouldn't be a pain in the ass. I paid hundreds of extra dollars to do that. Knowing I could get it back if I didn't want to keep both pair.

Marketplace is where the world is trending not because we want to shop there but because the experience isn't chopped. It's aggressively favorable because that's the market. So my suggestion is to break down every barrier you have that makes your own DTC site shittier to shop than somewhere else you sell. Or, at least die trying.

TOOL OF THE WEEK:

Sponsored by Tapcart

My Tool of the Week is this 2026 BFCM Data Report.
It's a deep analysis of the latest mobile shopper trends + real strategies to respond.

All urgent for Q4/Q5.
I recommend starting with:
How YOUR shoppers are creating shortlists with AI (all of chapter 3 is non-negotiable)
✹ Specific perks shoppers prefer, by generation & gender (p.70)
10 app strategies used by Credo, Olukai, and Barnes & Noble (p.50-52)
✹ SMS etiquette to avoid getting blocked (p.62).
✹ A cheat sheet for thinking about omnichannel (see if your MMM agrees, p.85)

Best part: every stat comes with a specific move to fix it in time for BFCM.
I took too many screenshots. My scrolling finger hurts. You're welcome!

GO-TO-MARKET TIP OF THE WEEK:

I've decided to start posting on Instagram. Really riveting, thought-provoking, elevated content. Like so:

And as such, I've had more ideas for static, lo-fi ads this week than I've had in a month. Because I am contributing instead of watching. My static, lo-fi ads notoriously already rip if I'm honest. I invented many of the styles I see in your ad libraries today, many years ago.

My point is to tell you to get your ass up and work™️ and post if you want to push yourself to be more creative.

It's working for me:

ADDED TO MY WISH LIST THIS WEEK:

🔊: For us both to become fluent in agentic*
💿: These are the jeans. Thank you Carly.
🎤: These are the popsicles.
🎃: This is what I can't stop thinking about. Daniel, don't click that link whatever you do.

BRAND OF THE WEEK:

Sportiv: Because this shot is cool to me and mark my words if you follow this brand you will be so fucking early here. I see big things for them. It's pre-launch so watch them launch. Did you know I named Go-to-Millions after Go-to-Market? We are here because of launches! I've launched so many brands that I love and you love now and I'm not a part of this launch for Sportiv but see the signs of greatness.

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK:

Salt & Stone: Our team launched the most gorg candle collab this week and I would like to point you to our site. Specially, dive below the fold of this PDP. See how much we give a damn? Every detail. Every single detail.

MEME OF THE WEEK:
