Bonjour Millionaire,

Today is my son's 1st birthday and birthday month is almost over!! but don't worry I have a plan!!!

Was this email forwarded to you?

TOOL OF THE WEEK:

Sponsored by AppLovin

My Tool of the Week is AppLovin, but it's also this $5,000 ad credit, so you can start running experiments, free.

I explained AppLovin a few days ago. But I forgot to mention something important: they just announced they're opening their platform to all advertisers. If you skipped it because it was invite-only before, now's the time to revisit.

I'd always HEARD the attention environment on games was different than social. But until you see what really happens when you get 35 uninterrupted seconds with your audience, I don't think you really know HOW different it is.

So: while your customer is locked in & waiting for the next level, I suggest you go nab your $5k and start testing.

GO-TO-MARKET TIP OF THE WEEK:

We promised ourselves we'd lock in our Q4 calendars by August 1st. So let me let you in on something you will want for December. Will feel better to plan it now. 'Tis the season for protecting future you! Because as we know now and as we'll know in December, if they can't put it under the tree in time, that's a problem. What to do:

1️⃣. As your shipping cut off for guaranteed Christmas delivery approaches (within the 48 hours prior) - change the hero homepage copy on your site to speak to the shipping deadline. No cute branded headline. Communicate the info! Your shipping cutoff might be December 10th, 11th, 12th, something horrible like that so you better find that date out NOW and calendar to CHANGE YOUR HOMEPAGE. This is not a dev-change so what's the excuse? It's also JULY!

2️⃣. Once the deadline passes, as it does every year, be prepared. PUSH THAT GIFT CARD. But, that's boring Ari! I know it is, Millionaire! That's why we are going to take it 1 step further. For all digital gift card purchases between shipping cut off and Christmas, make it clear that you'll send a BEAUTIFUL, PRINTABLE PDF with all gift card purchases. This is that extra step. That BEAUTIFUL, PRINTABLE PDF is now GIFTABLE AND TANGIBLE FOR UNDER THE TREE. It's branded, it says "SOMETHING FROM [BRAND] IS EN ROUTE JUST FOR YOU". It has a beautiful image. A festive little pattern. And, you're done!

I place this on the Digital Gift Card PDP and send it by email.

3️⃣. Please make sure your gift card increments are high enough - don't be shy. Add a few variants - if right now your gift card amounts only go up to $100. Add 2 other options. $150 and $250. This is a 3 minute change in Shopify. You'll sell more $100 gift cards and think of me when you sell the $250's. Anything up to $500 is acceptable to me. Delete the $25 variant.

I dare you. 🧑‍🎄

ADDED TO MY WISH LIST THIS WEEK:

⏳: Only 4?*
⏳: I bought this for him. Kills me.
⏳: Really shouldn't. That said, I shoudn't do a lot of things I do.
⏳: Love apple. Going to try and report back.
*Brought to my attention by Shipfusion.

BRAND OF THE WEEK:

Spilled Milk: I know I'm soft now and this is my consumer category but this old ad from Spilled Milk has me mesmerized. The music choice is, to put it mildly, profound.

(Violets for Roses is the song paired with this creative).

I will never stop preaching the power of music in ad creative and I tip my hat to whoever did this. No text. No logo. The product in use with music that hits your soul. IF I HAD A DAUGHTER I'D HAVE BOUGHT 2.

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK:

Graff: You'd be surprised how many fine jewelry sites bury the lead. This Emerald Cut, White Diamond, Platinum section of their PDP is helpful because it's descriptive and if you sell something this expensive the details should be clear and they are here and I like it.

MEME OF THE WEEK:

AU REVOIR!

Help. I've fallen in love with a storefront in Armadale. I don't know where that is but I'll go.

Love you,
Ari
