Bonjour Millionaire, I keep texting my little sister the same Leset dress that is final sale on Net-a-Porter and she keeps not buying it and it's so her and months go by and I forget I showed her and we keep doing the same dance. If I text you something and you don't get it, it hurts my feelings. My older sister always listens to me and so does my mom so I'm not sure what to do with this? Do I buy her the dress, ice her out, rec it to my older sister instead and make her jealous? Wait, yeah. That! 🩰 🩰 🩰 Was this email forwarded to you? Subscribe Here

ON THIS EPISODE OF GO-TO-MILLIONS I am constantly asked for my tech stack. CONSTANTLY. It's been this way for 6 years and I woke up feeling nice today so let's do it. To start, I took the above picture of a t-shirt at the sushi restaurant I was at last night and I knew it would come in handy. This is MY stack, works for ME, I have USED everything here over many years and many brands and I don't use the same thing for every brand because that's not strategic. I'll give you a few options where I choose depending on budget, brand size, and what's newest. Also, CATEGORY AND INDUSTRY ARE VERY IMPORTANT IN MY SELECTIONS PER BRAND. I would never give the same stack to a protein bar brand as I would a fashion brand as I would a brand that was budget-constrained, for example. Summer is for bravery. While everyone else is on vacation and in Europe you'll take on a tech migration?? Sounds like you're going to fuck up your competition come Cyber with your gorgeous tech stack that is perfect and ready for the show. Disclaimers below!************ *My tech stack is ever evolving and this isn't everything by any means **I'm not paid to say any of this ***I'm an investor in a couple of these. I'll mark them. If I'm an investor that is like the best sign ever right??? **** I designed tech stacks during my agency days for truly the biggest brands over the last half-decade to have launched digitally. I know what I'm talking about. THE DTC STACKThis is the skeleton and applies generally cross-category. Can go deeper if you care! 🌌: Shopify Plus ^^ I don't like to go headless. I do have experience migrating away from headless and I charged a lot to do it. Just use Shopify and don't take on tech debt you don't need to do something ~custom~. Daniel bought Shopify stock when he met me back when we were 23 because he saw how much I loved using it and he's glad he did. 🌌: Klaviyo for email (have been able to say this since 2018)
🌌: Postscript for SMS ^^ The last time I used Attentive intentionally was in 2020 and I stand on that.
🌌: Alia (used to use Amped but it's now a part of Mailchimp so if you have a smaller brand that works as a stack instead of Klaviyo + Alia, Mailchimp (houses Amped) works.
🌌: Motion for creative analytics ^^ but remember it's only as powerful as your naming conventions. Should I drop the naming convention generator that we've perfected over the last 5 years? 50 replies and I'll do it! (Maybe!)
🌌: Northbeam or Triple Whale or BOTH as MTA ^^ As much as it's fun to choose a side, I use both at the same time. Moby is great and used it across every single 1 of my clients last year. Northbeam is how I prefer to media buy. You don't have to choose 1 if you spend a ton of money on ads. Not the place to skimp. Also, if Northbeam UI confuses you just sit down and learn it. It's not that hard and you can.
🌌: Passport for international* *I invested in this in 2021 after using it at about-face beauty. It just sold to Global-e this past May. I was right!!
🌌: Okendo for reviews* *I'm an angel in this as well and have used across over 100 brands. Good enough for SKIMS, good enough for you. Know what I mean? 🌌: Tapcart for mobile app ^^ This is the ONLY mobile app builder I've ever used personally and it was really easy. Used it for a brand for an A-list celeb that I'm not allowed to say. I also love the Daily Drills app (they use Tapcart) and Daily Drills' entire drop model that helps them push traffic to their app. They give 5 minutes early access to app users and it works because their shit sells out.
🌌: Richpanel for CX ^^ I used to use Zendesk (I met my husband when we were coworkers in 2017 via Zendesk), then Gorgias (still good), now gravitate towards Richpanel.
🌌: Recharge (since 2017, Jordan was 1 of their 1st customers) and Zaymo for subscription ^^I much prefer over StayAI
🌌: Agentio for creator
🌌: Lebesgue for AI visibility ^^ I also like Profound ^^ I also like Viktor AI as an agent and use in researching for Go-to-Millions 🌌: AudioEye or AccessiBe (depending on budget) 🌌: Orita for email deliverability ^^ The 1st time I used this was on a brand that sold $800 red light products and it was an overnight success and imagine if more people are opening emails for $800 products you know?? 🌌: Haus for incrementality ^^ Used this for the 1st time for a brand that sold HEAVY on Babylist and Amazon and fucking everywhere and it really helped us to media buy it. Have used it across many BIG brands and it's expensive but that's okay. Works best if you're using for a brand that is willing to deploy media channel-agnostic.

Thought you might text me something similar so sharing. I die for our niche little 75,000 person corner of the internet. Yours, Ari P.S. I know I write a lot about luxury marketing and I want to remind you that I'm more technical than I am anything else and that's how I've built my career and what I'm known for. I run a dev team and I always have and bad software freaks me OUT. P.P.S. My little sister IS now buying the dress and my older sister is, too. I feel like an all-powerful witch!! |
