Bloomin' Blinds is one of those niche home services plays that doesn't get talked about much, and that's part of why it's interesting to me.
The concept is simple enough: a mobile van-based operation that sells and repairs window blinds and shades.
There’s no storefront, and it’s a service model that most competitors don't offer.
That repair component is actually the smartest part of the business, in my opinion. It keeps existing customers coming back by creating recurring touchpoints, which differentiates Bloomin' from pure-sales competitors.
The one potential caveat is that the system is still relatively small (around 80 franchisees serving 150 territories), which means limited brand recognition in most markets and a support infrastructure that's still scaling.
But if you're looking for a low-cost, home-based entry into the home services category that isn't already saturated with franchise competition, Bloomin' Blinds ticks all those boxes.
