Revenue is the total income your business has earned as a result of doing work or selling a product to a customer before any expenses, charges, or other costs are subtracted. It's the business version of gross income.

If you're running a service business, your revenue is the total amount you've charged customers for all of your jobs.

Revenue is an important thing to look at, but it's only one piece of the puzzle. Profit and Profit Margin are probably more important, but can't be calculated without knowing how much revenue your business has earned.
